New Delhi:
A criminal of Neeraj Bawana gang received bullet injury in an encounter with Delhi Police that took place on Wednesday in Sarai Kale Khan area, near Millennium depot in Delhi.
The injured criminal has been identified as Saddam Hussain and was shifted to a nearby hospital after the shootout.

Two policemen were also injured in the encounter and the police have recovered a pistol and several bullets from the criminal.

The police, working on a tip-off, blocked an alley with an objector near Sarai Kale Khan bus stand and when Hussain came on a two-wheeler, the police tried to stop him. However, he tried to escape and rammed straight to the objector and started firing at the police in an attempt to flee.
But, while return firing, police managed to catch a hold of him
Hussain was shot in his leg during the encounter.
