The national capital witnessed a foggy morning with the minimum temperature dipping to 11 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
At least 30 trains were delayed, 4 rescheduled and one train cancelled due to the shallow fog in Northern India.
According to a press release issued by India Meteorological Department, cold wave conditions are likely to prevail at a few places in North India, especially Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan. MP and UP and at isolated pockets in Jammu division.
Moderate to dense fog will continue to envelop the North-eastern states of Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
Even as the train services were hit by foggy conditions in parts of North India flight services continued as usual without any significant disruptions. According to the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), no flights were delayed or cancelled.
