The Blue Line of Delhi Metro was hit by a technical snag on Thursday, resulting in the disruption of the metro services from Dwarka Sector-21 to Noida City Centre/Vaishali.
The snag was detected at around 2 pm on the section between Karol Bagh and RK Ashram stations where the overhead wire was technically problematic, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a statement.
Currently, the services are being managed on the 50-km long line in three loops, from Barakhamba Road to Noida City Centre/Vaishali, from Kirti Nagar to Dwarka Sector-21, and from Kirti Nagar to Barakhamba Road as a single line, said a DMRC official.
Normal train services are set to be restored by around 3:30 pm as technicians are working on the glitch, the official added.
The Blue Line is the most snag-prone corridor of the Delhi Metro due to many factors, the main being largely over-ground network. It is one of the busiest strip of the Delhi Metro.
