The Delhi metro non-executive staffers including train operators continued their protest on the 25th day but "insensitive" DMRC seems in no mood to hear their voices.
Entire operations staff including train operators of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd are protesting since April 17 against the 'discriminatory' policies of DMRC.
"It was started on April 17 by wearing a black ribbon on left hand, but the insensitive management, rather than listening to our problems started to threaten us to end protest or face disciplinary action. They even send show cause notices to some 15 people," said Ravi Bhardvaz, spokesperson of staff council, DMRC.

"There is a lack of standard Policy in DMRC which need to be reformed for betterment, sustainability and Good work culture of the organization in long run," said Ravi.
The protesters have also threatened to intensify their protest and said they will further shave their heads and even go on "hunger strike" if their demands are not met by the authorities.
”From May 1, we had given up our facilities including restrooms and working from platforms without taking rests. If the authorities don’t listen to us we will go on a hunger strike. We will come and operate trains but will not sign off and continuously work without having food,” Ravit old News Nation Digital.
“We are working, operating trains and after that, we come here to protest in 40-degree temp, employees are getting exhausted and that is even risky for the safety of passengers as we need 100 percent focus while operating trains, but authorities are not concerned for any of this,” he added further.
However, the protesting employees said they have no plans to directly halt metro services but due to incapacity metro services could be halted.
“We have no intentions to halt metro services, but if the employees will not eat, they will get weaker physically and due to which trains might stop running automatically,” Ravi told News Nation Digital.
“We have written to GM HR, R.D. Chaudhary and he gave us assurance that our problems would be sorted out within a week. But nothing such happened and he started threatening us by sending show-cause notices saying a disciplinary action would be taken against us, he added.
Talking to News Nation Digital, R.D. Chaudhary, GM HR of Delhi Metro said that only a "small section of non-executive staff is protesting and he knows about their demands."
However, Chaudhary did not comment on the issues of the halt in metro services due to possible incapacity and whether their demands would be looked after or not.
Quashing the claims of Chaudhary, spokesperson of staff council Ravi Bhardvaz said, "Entire Operations department is in Protest. Maintainance people have been threatened because in 2015 after non-implementation of pay scale change they were on Protest throughout Deepawali, 50+ got hospitalised. They are also part of the Non-Executive cadre.”
