Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has spiked up the security arrangements ahead of the 72nd Independence Day on August 15. The parking lots at all the station will remain closed till 2 pm on August 15 amid tight security across the national capital region.

"Parking facilities will not be available at the Delhi Metro stations from 6 am on August 14, 2018, till 2 pm on August 15, 2018, in view of the security measures adopted on the occasion of Independence Day," a statement from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said.
There will be tight security and entry-exit restrictions at the ITO-Kashmere Gate network on Independence Day.

Keeping the security concerns in mind, some gates at Lal Quila, ITO, Delhi Gate and Jama Masjib will remain close for security reasons, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in the release.
Train services between Indraprastha and Mandi House will remain suspended when the Prime Minister’s convoy passes through Tilak Marg on August 15.
In the event of any untoward incident, commuters can dial the new Metro helpline number launched on August 10. The Central Industrial Security Force on Friday launched a new electronic surveillance control room and security helpline number -- 155655 -- for Delhi Metro commuters.
