After a brief delay between trains on Blue Line extension this afternoon, the Delhi Metro services suffered yet another hit due to technical glitches on the Noida/Vaishali and West Delhi section, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at the station, according to reports. Taking to Twitter commuters said the Blue Line extension of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is not working and the metro shutters have already been closed. Passengers travelling from Noida via metro are also advised to make alternative arrangements to avoid inconveniences.
As per the latest reports, snapping of a strand of Over Head Equipment (OHE) wires between Dwarka and Dwarka More station on the Blue line is the reason for the delay. Officials, however, said that train services are available at a frequency of 5-8 minutes due to intermittent signalling issue which resurfaced around 7 pm.
Earlier in the day a technical snag led to a minor bunching of trains between Dwarka and Noida City Centre, the official confirmed, adding that rest of the Blue Line is running normal. The Blue Line connects Dwarka to Noida/Vaishali.
"Train services are slightly affected due to signalling issue (Loss of centralized view intermittently) on the Karol Bagh-Dwarka section (Up line only-going towards Dwrka) on Line 3," a senior official was quoted by PTI saying.
The Blue line metro between Dwarka and Noida City Centre was reported to be stuck for more than 30 minutes from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm with commuters complaining of the metro not moving between Mayur Vihar station and Mayur Vihar extension. The gllitch was then restored at about 3:30 pm.

@DelhiMetro_ @DelhiMetro_Rail @indianrailway__ @PiyushGoyal @narendramodi #delhimetro rail condition is so pathetic that you can hear squeaking sound every now and then when #metro is moving. Looks like either it's not having funds or they want an accident to happen.

Even after resolving the issue, the train moved barely three stations and stopped for several minutes at every station, commuters told reporters while boarding the metro from one of those 44 stations from Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida City Centre (Sector 32). The long delay between metros led to a huge crowd at Rajiv Chowk, Yamuna Bank and Mandi House.
A single line operation is still available between Dwarka and Janakpuri West metro station. To avoid crowd at the metro station, a short loop of trains is also running between the Rajiv Chowk station and the Janakpuri West station.
