A minor fire broke out at the building of state broadcaster Doordarshan, located at Mandi House in New Delhi on Wednesday. “Fire broke out in an AC plant of Doordarshan Bhawan at Mandi House,” according to reports. However, no casualty has been reported in the incident so far.
The fire brigade control room got a message about the blaze at about 12:20 pm, following which eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire officials quickly brought the blaze under control.
“The fire was controlled within 10 mins. 8 fire tenders are present on the spot. No casualty has been reported,” an official was quoted as saying by ANI.

In a separate incident, a house in Paharganj area caught fire around 6 am on Wednesday. Following this, a Delhi Police team immediately reached the spot and rescued people trapped inside the building.
The couple of incidents came on a day when there is panic in the posh residential area of Mumbai’s Parel following a Level 4 fire at Crystal Tower building this morning. The tragic incident led to the death of at least four people and injured several others, who are undergoing treatment in nearby KEM hospital.
