Delhi Police ACP Prem Ballabh allegedly commits suicide after jumping off headquarters' building

A 55-year-old ACP-rank officer, who was suffering from depression, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the police headquarters building in central Delhi on Thursday, according to police. The dead has been identified as Prem Vallabh and was posted in crime and traffic unit of Delhi Police.

"Prem Ballabh, a 55-year-old ACP rank official, died after he allegedly jumped off from the Police Headquarters building," news agency ANI reported.

 

Ballabh had joined Delhi Police as a head constable in 1986 and was promoted to the rank of ACP in 2016. He had served as personal assistant to senior officers of Delhi Police. There are also reports that the ACP was recently hospitalised for 28 days as he was suffering from depression.
