A Delhi University students’ collective will hold a protest rally to press for its demands, the major of which is curfew-less nights for women into hostels, on Wednesday at the Arts Faculty.
The collective called ‘Pinjra Tod’ held an all-night protest on Monday and also blocked the Mall Road as talks with the proctor and deputy proctor failed to yield results.

One of the other major demands of the collective is that the hostels be made disabled-friendly and setting up an internal complaint committee against sexual harassment in all colleges and institutions.
Last week, the organisation had submitted a charter of demands to the Vice-Chancellor of the university demanding removal of curfew timings and allowing 24-hour entry into women’s hostels, abolishing the concept of local guardians for students and keeping a provision for an emergency local contact.
