As earlier predicted by India Meteorological Department, rains lashed parts of Delhi and NCR on Monday bringing down the mercury level and providing much-needed relief from the humid weather condition in the city.

“While on one hand a cyclonic circulation has developed over south-east Uttar Pradesh, the monsoon trough is also located very close to Delhi. We are expecting some light rain on Monday and light to moderate rain on Tuesday,” said an IMD official.
Earlier on Sunday the maximum temperature was recorded to be 34.9 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature stood at 27 degrees Celsius, both of which were one degree above normal.
