Demon King ‘Ravana’ rides Harley Davidson without helmet, challaned Rs 100 by Delhi Traffic Police

No matter who you are, if you break the law and flout the traffic rules, that too in the capital city of the country, the Delhi Traffic Police is going to get you.

This is exactly what happened on Saturday morning when the Demon King Ravana decided to take a joyride on his Harley Davidson, wearing a crown instead of a helmet which is in complete violation of traffic laws. 

As Ravana was passing by President’s house, traffic police personnel posted in the area took pictures of the bike and the registration number and traced the bike to noted actor Mukesh Rishi. 

Rishi is playing the role of Ravana at the Luv Kush Committee Ramlila and was on his way to perform his final act.

DCP Traffic (Outer Range) Dinesh Gupta said, “Traffic personnel also made videos of him and sent it to the Road and Safety cell headquarters in Todapur. After tracing the vehicle owner, we sent a notice to his registration number, communicating that he had violated traffic norms and a challan would be issued.”

Following the issuance of challan, Rishi went to the headquarters and apologised and also agreed to pay the fine. 

“We are yet to process the final challan,” police said. 

Interestingly, Rishi claims, “I did it intentionally. No matter who you are, you must wear proper gear while driving. I wanted to send this message. I will pay the fine.”
