A fire broke out at a furniture shop in Shaheen Bagh area Delhi on Sunday night, an official said. Four fire tenders were pressed into service to bring the blaze down at the shop after a call was received at 8.46 pm, Delhi Fire Services Director Atul Garg said.
The fire is under control and no injury has been reported so far, the official added. Some reports suggest that furniture worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in the fire.
Shaheen Bagh has been news lately because of protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the National Population Register (NPR).
