In yet another shocking case of medical negligence, a 60-year-old man, who was allegedly declared dead by doctors, was on Saturday found sweating while taking him for the last rites.

“60-yr-old man from Haryana’s Panipat, who was declared dead by doctors at #Delhi’s Ganga Ram hospital, was later found alive while being taken for last rites in ambulance. Relatives accuse doctors of negligence;say,’found him sweating &then told doctors who confirmed he was alive,” ANI tweeted.

The 60-year-old man, who hailed from Harayana’s Panipat district, was brought to Sir Ganga Ram hospital for treatment.

He was declared dead by doctors.

After being declared dead, his relatives, who took his body for the last rites in ambulance, saw that the man was sweating and informed the doctors. The doctors then confirmed that the man was still alive.

The relatives had accused the doctors of medical negligence.

However, the hospital has denied the charge saying the patient was discharged and not declared dead.

The discharge certificate of the patient read "Patients' condition is critical & he needs further treatment. Patients' attendants want to discharge patient, hence, he is being discharged on Leave Against Medical Advice (LAMA)".

"In the discharge certificate of the 60-yr-old patient from Panipat, Ganga Ram hospital wrote, "Patients' condition is critical & he needs further treatment. Patients' attendants want to discharge patient, hence, he is being discharged on Leave Against Medical Advice (LAMA)," ANI said in another tweet.
