New Delhi:
Thousands of commuters heading towards Noida through the Kalindi Kunj route had a harrowing time on Tuesday afternoon after the stretch witnessed a heavy traffic jam for several hours when a truck broke down midway at the Yamuna barrage.Â
Several commuters travelling in buses and auto rickshaws resorted to walking the stretch after waiting for an hour.Â
The cascading effect of the jam was witnessed from the Sarita Vihar underpass when the traffic movement obstructed due to 'bottle neck' at the Kalindi bridge.
"Traffic is heavy in the carriageway from Kalindi Kunj towards Noida due to breakdown of a truck near Kalindi Kunj .Kindly avoid the stretch," traffic police said in a tweet.
