Mercury dips below season's average in Delhi, winters likely to set in

The city and adjoining areas have witnessed a continuous dip in temperature during the early morning hours.

It seems like winter is on its way to the National Capital region as Delhi woke up to a rather chilly, but pleasant morning on Tuesday with the minimum temperature being recorded at 18.4 degrees Celsius.  

It was a notch below the season's average.

The city and adjoining areas have witnessed a continuous dip in temperature during the early morning hours.  

The Met Department has predicted that later in the day the temperature will rise and the maximum temperature is likely to be around 35 degrees Celsius.

According to the India Meteorological Department forecast, the sky shall remain clear.

Relative humidity was 85 per cent at 8.30 am.

On Monday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius while the maximum was 35 degrees Celsius.
