Light drizzle in Noida brings some respite from scorching heat

The residents of Noida got some respite from the scorching heat as light drizzle in parts of city brought down temperature in city on Saturday afternoon.

The sky remained clouded over the city and weather office predicted duststorm and thundershower with strong gusty winds over Delhi and surrounding areas of Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Meerut during next 6 hours.

Meanwhile, monsoon made its onset over Mumbai with heavy rains, leaving the city in chaos. Several flights were diverted and trains were running late due to the inclement weather situation.

Rains accompanied with heavy winds uprooted trees and electricity poles in several parts of the city. Waterlogging was reported in low lying several areas, including Mahim, Hindmata and Sion.
