The Supreme Court on Friday banned on selling of firecrackers in Delhi and NCR due to growing pollution in the region.
The apex court also asked the Central Pollution Control Board to file a reply within 3 months regarding harmful effects of firecrackers.
The top court said, "The sale of firecrackers should be enforce from today (Nov 25) onwards till further order or any hearing."

Environmentalists were seeking courts intervention in passing orders for ban on sale of firecrackers due to increasing level of pollution.
