A celebration to showcase crafts from every nook and corner of the country and beyond, Surajkund Mela makes for an important platform for artists to bring forth their talent and skills. Hosted annually by the Haryana Tourism Department in Surajkund ever since its first mela in 1987, Surajkund mela which is also jointly hosted by the Surajkund Mela Authority in collaboration with the Union Ministries of Tourism, Textiles, Culture, External Affairs, Department of Tourism, Government of Haryana and Haryana Tourism Corporation will be held at Faridabad this year. 

From Timing, Theme, direction, tickets booking, here’s everything you need to know about the 34th Surajkund Mela:

Surajkund Mela: Date and Timing

The fair will kickstart off from the February 1, 2020 and will continue till the 16th. The festival of international crafts will be open to visitors from 10.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m everyday.

Surajkund Mela 2020 Ticket Price and where to get them

The ticket price ranges from INR 100/- to 200/- as per the demand. 
Ticket Price during Weekdays: 120/-
Ticket Price during Weekends: 180/-

Tickets for the Surajkund International Crafts Fair are easily available on all major online booking platforms and at the venue.

A 50% discount are available for school and college students with a valid ID card on weekdays. The same amount of discount is also made available for senior citizens, differently-abled and soldiers.

Theme

For the 34th Surajkund International Crafts Mela-2020, the state of Himachal Pradesh has been chosen to be the Theme State.

How to Reach the Surajkund Mela

To be held in Faridabad district of Haryana, Surajkund is well connected by all means of transport. If you opt for air route, Indira Gandhi International airport is the nearest airport. It will be a 35-minute to the event, for those at Palam airport, the mela will be 25 km away.

By Rail: New Delhi (NDLS) is the nearest railway station to reach Surajkund. On reaching the railway, you can easily avail yourself a take a local train or even the Delhi metro to reach Surajkund.

Metro: With Badarpur at violet line the nearest to the mela, take the metro from Central Secretariat to Badarpur via Sarita Vihar and Mohan estate.
