After a TikTok video of a man performing stunts on a vehicle that had ‘Delhi Police’ written on it went viral on social media, an inquiry into the matter will be conducted by the joint commissioner of police (security). The 15-second video, which was uploaded on the video-sharing TikTok application, showed a man coming out of the moving vehicle and doing push-ups on top of the vehicle in a vacant plot, the police said.
The Delhi Police has said that the vehicle belonged to a private contractor, JP Sharma, taken on hire for certain duties, and it is not a Delhi Police vehicle. The person in the video is not a policeman but a friend of private driver of hired vehicle. A showcause notice had been issued to the contractor and necessary legal action will be taken after the inquiry, the police said.
The vehicle that has a beacon light mounted on the top and 'Delhi Police' written on the bonnet was hired by the police, the officer added.
Thanks, This complaint has already been forwarded to senior officers for taking necessary action in this regard.
