It’s a wet day in Delhi and the NCR region – Noida, Gurugram and Faridabad. Heavy rains affected normal life at several palaces in central and south Delhi on Friday afternoon. Commuters faces traffic congestion in some areas.
The Meteorological Department of India forecast more rains in the day and through the weekend.
The maximum temperature is likely to touch 37 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 28 degrees Celsius, and a relative humidity at 75 per cent, the Met Department said.
Waterlogging and traffic congestions were reported from Lutyens Delhi, Sarita Vihar, Lajpat Nagar and Saket.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature was registered at 36.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average, and minimum temperature at 28.3 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season’s average.
The temperature in the city is likely to fall as the city will continue to receive rainfall most parts of the day and through the weekend, the Meteorological Department of India had predicted.

While there is no flood situation in the capital despite the good monsoon shower, several parts of the country have reported flood situation.
So far, heavy monsoon rains and nature fury have claimed over 200 lives in UP this monsoon season, while 26 people have died in Kerala owing to landslides and flood situation caused by heavy rains for the past few days.
Up North and Eastern India too, normal life has been thrown out of gear. Many places in Himachal, J&K and Uttarakhand are under nature’s fury. Transportation and communication network remain badly affected by heavy rainfall in most parts of the country.
