The national capital received heavy rains on Sunday cooling the temperatures by a couple of degrees to provide some relief to the citizens. Delhi’s maximum temperature was marked at 35 degree Celsius on Sunday but fell a couple of notches just after the dark clouds took over the sky. The met department has predicted the rain to continue this week.

Light to moderate rain was recorded in most parts of Delhi on Saturday. This will bring down the maximum and minimum temperatures by a few notches, said a met official.
The national capital’s minimum and maximum temperatures have been floating around two degrees above the normal temperature since the last week.

Delhi received a strong spell of rain on July 13 as the Safdarjung station received around 52mm of rainfall.
