CID officers arrests man for publishing morphed photos of Tollywood actresses

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers of Telangana have arrested a person from Bangalore for allegedly publishing morphed and obscene photos of various Tollywood actresses on websites. The man in question Pradeep was arrested on Saturday as per a Times of India report.

Movie Artistes' Association (MAA) president Shivaji Raja, general secretary Naresh and secretary Hema had filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime police station of CID. They alleged that 21 websites on the net were publishing obscene and vulgar photos and videos about Tollywood actresses.

The Cyber Crime cell of CID conducted an investigation and then filed a case under IPC Section 471 and IT Act Section 67 and 67-A on October 4.

The report also stated that police analysed the details of the websites and found out that Pradeep was the owner cum administrator of four of the 21 websites that were publishing scene content. Pradeep, a B.Com graduate was operating from Bangalore.

CID SP (Cyber Crime), U Rammohan was quoted as saying to Times of India that the 24-year-old was arrested and produced before the local court. He was taken to Hyderabad on a prisoner transmit warrant, where he was produced before the magistrate for judicial remand on Sunday.

As per the report, Pradeep, who was working in a private company, was operating four websites for the last few months. He published several morphed obscene and vulgar photos of several Tollywood actresses.

 The accused also wrote indecent content about the actresses in Telugu and was getting Rs. 5000 every month through the ads on the website.

 The Cyber Crime officials are still working to find out the owners of the remaining websites.
