A 36-year-old Telugu news anchor allegedly committed suicide on Sunday by jumping off the fifth floor of a building in Hyderabad’s Kukatpally.

Police officials said that the deceased identified as V Radhika Reddy took the drastic step due to a family dispute. They said that the woman was under depression because of some dispute with her husband and was living at her parents’ house.

The police recovered a suicide note from her handbag which stated that no one was responsible for her death. She allegedly wrote, “Due to depression I am killing myself. Nobody else is the reason. My brain is my enemy.”

"After her duty, she came to the house and at around 10.40 pm yesterday she went to the top floor of the building and jumped’’, Kukatpally Police Station Inspector V Prasanna Kumar informed PTI.

Prasanna added that she suffered multiple injuries and died on the spot.

According to reports, the victim was married 12 years ago and had two children. She was not leaving with her husband because of a family dispute, the police said based on the preliminary investigation.

Police ruled out the possibility of foul play behind the accident and said that a case was registered.
