In a shocking incident, a lady constable allegedly committed suicide in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district on Tuesday, a police official said.
The lady police was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her quarter in Bhilwara, Additional Superintendent of Police Bhilwara Arun Machya said.

The reason for her suicide was yet to be ascertained and the matter is under investigation, the official said, adding that she was married a year ago and her husband lives in Sikar.
The constable had gone on leave for four days and resumed work on October 21, Station house officer of Kareda police station Morpal Gurjar said.

The Bhilwara incident is the second reported case of a woman committing suicide in the state this month.
On October 16 too, a woman in Barmer, in Sadar Police station area, allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a water tank along with her three children, the police said.

The incident took place in the night when other family members of the woman had gone out, they said, adding that the deceased were identified as Heero Devi, her sons - five-year-old Dharmendra, three-year-old Ramesh and a two-month-old infant.
Heera Devi apparently threw her children in the water tank before she jumped into it, the police added.
Meanwhile in Delhi, on October 22, a woman allegedly committed suicide in Burari. She was found hanging at her residence on Monday morning. A graduate from Delhi University's Shyam Lal College, the woman was pursuing post-graduation through IGNOU, Delhi police said.
