The English question paper prepared for the students of Class 10 in Jaipur's government schools for the half-yearly examination has tossed a big question mark on the situation of education in the state of Rajasthan.
The question paper that carried questions on Prime Minister Narendra Modi was riddled with spelling mistakes.Â
Ratan S Yadav, Jaipur District Education Officer declined to comment on the issue saying that he will not say anything before receiving a report on the same.Â
“Maybe there were few printing mistakes. We have committee which reviews matters like this when it is brought to their notice. If mistake is huge we give bonus marks to students. I can't say anything before committee gives a report,†said Yadav. Â
The question paper which carried 70 marks contained slip-ups like:Â
- Obese is spelt obessed
- Violence is spelt as voilenceÂ
- Speaker is spelt as spoker
- Crowd is spelt as craod
