New Delhi:

Three policemen were killed and several others injured in Jammu and Kashmir as violence marred the Eid Al-Adha or Bakrid celebrations with heavy clashes and stone pelting incidents reported from different parts of the Valley. Protesters also took to streets and were seen waving flags of Pakistan and the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Terrorists shot dead a policeman in Kulgam's Zazripora, and other two in Pulwama district, official sources said.

Militants fired at the entry gate of the Army camp in Kulgam and shot dead policeman Fayaz Ahmed as he came out after the Id prayers, according to reports. Earlier in the day, BJP worker Shabir Ahmad Bhat was shot dead by terrorists at his home in Pulwama's Rakh-e-litter.

Meanwhile, the Muslim festival of Bakrid or Eid-al Adha celebration, which falls on every 10th day of the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah, is observed across the country on Wednesday.

#09: 40 PM: Inspector Mohd Asharf Dar shot dead at his residence in Pulwama.

# 11:02 AM: Unidentified bike-borne terrorists opened fire at the main gate of CRPF's 30th Battalion's G Company in Bijbehara's Hassanpora earlier today. The guard at the gate fired in retaliation, terrorists managed to escape. No injuries have been reported.

# 10:57 AM: Protesters pelt stones on a police vehicle and attack it with sticks as protests erupt in Anantnag.

# 10:04 AM: Clashes break out between security forces and protesters in Srinagar.

# 09:52 AM: Terrorists have shot dead a police personnel outside an eidgah in Kulgam's Zazripora.

# 09:46 AM: People seen waving national flag of Pakistan and flag of ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) in Srinagar.
