The condition of veteran Forward Bloc leader Ashok Ghosh has improved a little though he continued to remain on ventilator, a party leader said today.
Ghosh, 94, was admitted to a private hospital on Monday after he complained of respiratory problems.
“He is still on ventilator. But his condition is better than the last few days. Yesterday dialysis was conducted on him and he responded positively,” AIFB leader Naren Chatterjee said.
Ghosh is serving the longest term as state secretary of any political party in the state. He took over as the state secretary of Forward Bloc in the late forties and has been holding the post for over six decades.
