A fire broke out at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Uttar Pradesh on Monday morning, triggering panic among passengers. The incident happened at the Air India ticket selling counter. Fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control.

No officer or staff was present at the counter at the time of the incident as the first flight of Air India comes from New Delhi at 11.35 am, an official said. Some furniture and computers were damaged. The exact reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
