UP Secondary Examination board or Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad Class 10 and Class 12 starts on Thursday. For class 10, the first exam is Hindi and the exams will end on April 1. While class 12 exams start with Military Science on Thursday to end on April 21 with Library Science.
This time nearly 26.24 lakh students are appearing for intermediate exam while for the high school exam, 34.4 lakh students have registered.
Well this time the number of candidates have decreased by 63,882 from the year 2016.
A total of 1.02 lakh students of classes 10 and 12 will appear for the UP board exam and 149 centres are allotted for the exam in the state capital. And the number of examinees in total is expected to be around 60 lakh.
Earlier UP board exams were planned to be held between February and March but it was due to the assembly polls that the exams were postponed to mid of March after intervention from election Commission. The revised schedule had by then been submitted by the board to the poll panel for approval.
