New Delhi:

Incessant rains hit normal life in Mumbai and water accumulation caused traffic jams in the metropolitan city on Monday. Malad received the highest amount of rainfall at 110.80 mm while Colaba recorded 90 mm and Santacruz 195 mm of rain at 5.30 am on Monday, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD issued a warning of “heavy to very heavy” rains in Mumbai over the next few days as monsoon revived again on Sunday.

As the heavy downpour continued since last night, several areas of the city got flooded resulting in traffic jams due to waterlogging. Some houses in low lying areas of the country’s ‘financial capital’ were also inundated.
