A huge fire broke out in South Mumbai's Wadala area on Monday night after a large tanker burst into flames after crashing underneath the city's overhead monorail line killing the tanker driver. The area was cordoned off and five fire trucks were rushed in to douse the flames.

The incident took place at around 10:45 pm at the Bhakti Park area.

"The tanker was filled with methanol and when we reached the spot it had toppled and was on fire. The driver of the tanker died in the fire. The situation is under control now," said fire service officer AH Sawant as quoted by news agency ANI.
