The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday predicted the occurrence of a thunderstorm and heavy rainfalls in several districts of Maharashtra. According to a report of the news agency ANI, the IMD said that the thunderstorms will be accompanied by lightning, gusty winds and intense spells of rain likely to occur in the districts of Raigad, Thane, Jalgaon, and Nashik during next 4 hours.
In a tweet, ANI said, "India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai: Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, gusty winds & intense spells of rain likely to occur in the districts of Raigad, Thane, Jalgaon & Nashik during next 4 hours."

On Thursday, the IMD has predicted partly cloudy sky over Mumbai with the possibility of light rain in city and adjoining areas. It had also predicted the maximum and minimum temperatures over the next 24 hours to be 36 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
