The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday predicted the occurrence of a thunderstorm and lightning in Maharashtra’s Raigad district for the next two days. According to a report of the news agency ANI, the thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely to occur on October 21 and 22.
In a tweet, ANI said, “India Meteorological Dept (IMD), Mumbai: Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning likely to occur at isolated places in the district of Raigad on 21st and 22nd October. Forecast and warning for any day is valid from 8:30 am of day till 8:30 am of next day.”

On Saturday, Mumbai witnessed light rain spells. Rainfall coupled with political rallies and hordes of Diwali shoppers also threw traffic movement completely out of gear across the Mumbai city. On the other hand, several parts of Maharashtra, including Amravati, Satara, Solapur, Ahmadnagar, and Ratnagiri received moderate rainfall.
