As many as 20 fire tenders were sent to Mankhurd scrapyard as massive fire engulfed the area on Sunday morning as reported by news agency ANI.
The fire broke out in a shop near Maya Hotel in Mankhurd. The cause of fire is still unknown as no casualties have been reported.
This is not the first time that the scrapyard at Mankhurd went ablaze. Earlier in November 2017, thick smoke engulfed the area as a result of burning of scrap material.
The scrapyard consists of oil drums, chemical drums, wooden planks and tyres. Â
