4.6 Magnitude earthquake hits northeastern state Sikkim (Representative Image)

Earthquake tremors measuring 4.6 on Richter scale jolted Sikkim on Monday morning.

Earlier on Saturday, 5.0 magnitude earthquake had hit several parts of Northeast and parts of Myanmar. As per sources, there were no reports of casualties or damages. The earthquake was felt at 7:05 am, with epicenter in Myanmar-India border region, according to official of Regional Seismological Centre.

Earlier in the month, another earthquake shook Manipur. The earthquake did not cause any damage to life or property. The region of the country has been shaken regularly in the year 2016.
