Police on Wednesday defused a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED), planted by miscreants, in Imphal East district of Manipur.

The IED was spotted by locals at Dolaithabi on Wednesday morning and they informed the local police station about the bomb, the police said.

A bomb squad team soon reached the spot and defused it, they said.
