A 65-year-old was arrested for allegedly raping a 4-year-old child in North Tripura district, police said on Tuesday.
District superintendent of police Bhanupada Chakraborty said that the man had lured the child at Kameswar village by promising to give her chocolate and then raped her on Monday.

The victim’s mother filed an FIR at Dharmanagar police station on the same day and the perpetrator was arrested immediately.
A local court on Tuesday remanded him police custody for three days.
