Bihar Cabinet announces 50% reservation in judicial services

In a big decision, the Bihar Cabinet on Tuesday announced 50 per cent reservation in the judicial services in the state.

Aspirants belonging to Extremely Backward Class (EBC) will get 21 per cent reservation, Other Backward Class (OBC) 12 per cent, Scheduled Caste (SC) 16 per cent, Scheduled Tribe 1 per cent.

35 per cent quota has been reserved for women belonging to all categories.

In another major decision, the kin on army martyrs will now get Rs 11 lakh as compensation, against the previous amount of Rs 5 lakh.
