New Delhi:

A 13-year-old girl was raped by two men on June 7 at her home in a village of Shahjahanpur district, police said on Thursday. SHO of Khutar Police Station Sanjay Singh said the minor was raped when her parents had gone out to purchase medicines.

When the parents returned home, the accused fled the scene flashing a country-made pistol and sword, officials said. The accused have been identified as Vikram and Nikku and cases have been registered against them, they said.

The girl has been sent for medical examination and efforts are on to nab the accused, police said.

In another shocking incident, an eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped in a Bareilly village. According to police, the minor was lured by the accused and raped at an unknown place under the Nawabganj police station on Wednesday.

"The accused person knew the family members of the girl," a senior police official said. The girl's family lodged a complaint after she narrated the sequence of events. Police have registered a case.

Police said a search is underway to nab the accused.
