New Delhi:

TikTok which has become a new addiction to a lot of people across the globe, also brought serious concerns aplenty, specially for youngsters and children. The latest victim of this new age addiction was a 19-year-old Delhi boy who was accidentally shot dead by his friend while posing with a pistol to make a video on mobile app TikTok. The incident took place near Ranjit Singh Flyover, adjacent to Barakhamba Road in central Delhi on Saturday.

According to police, the victim, identified as Salman, went out for a drive along with his friends Sohail and Amir to India Gate on Saturday night. While on their way to home, Sohail seating next to Salman pulled out a country made pistol and aimed it at him in an attempt to make a Tik Tok video. However, the pistol went off shooting Salman on his left cheek, leaving them dumbstruck. Salman himself was driving the car at the time of the incident. Whereas, Amir was in the rear seat of the car, a Creta.

Soon after the incident, panic gripped two friends, leading them to drove one of their relatives' place in Daryaganj, where Sohail changed and disposed his blood-stained clothes. Post that, they took Salman to the nearby LNJP Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Around 11.15 pm, the hospital authorities informed police about the incident.

Meanwhile, police have arrested both Amir and Sohail along with their relative, namely Sharif. While Sohail has been arrested on the charges of murder, Amir was found guilty for disposing the weapon. Sharif was taken into the custody for disposing the blood-stained clothes of Sohail.

Salman's body is currently kept at the hospital and will be sent for post-mortem on Monday. Investigations are also on to ascertain whether the bullet was fired accidentally or they had an intention to kill Salman.

Speaking to media one of Salman's relative said, "Two of his friends came last night and asked him to go to Indian Gate along with them following which Salman took his car and left. We received the information about the incident from police and reached the hospital".

Salman, an under-graduate student, was the youngest member of his family and has an elder brother and a sister. The family live in New Jafrabad area in the national capital. According to Salman's relative, his father has a business of jackets and jeans in the area and he used to help him in his free time.
