In yet another sensational case of robbery, a group of 5 armed robbers looted the Punjab National Bank (PNB) located at Madri Industrial Area in Rajasthan's Udaipur in broad daylight on Monday. As per the CCTV footage, taken from the PNB branch, the robbers, armed with loaded pistols broke into the bank at about 1:40 pm this noon and looted Rs 19 lakh at gun point in just 50 seconds. Of the 5 robbers, one had a mask on his face while the remaining four were clearly recognisable in the the CCTV footage.

At the time of the incident, there were three bank officers and one customer present at the branch but could not move an inch off their seats as the robbers were intimidating with their pistols. While one of the robbers stood guard in front of the gate, others entered the locker area, took away Rs 19 lakh cash and a laptop. The suddenness of the incident left everyone dumbstruck and the robbers fled the spot in the blink of an eye.

Meanwhile, the Udaipur Police has launched a primary investigation based on the CCTV footage in the case. Prime facie, they have suspected the connection of one Mev Gang in the incident. Following certain inputs about Monday's robbery, police have announced a blockade on the main entrance and exit across the city. Raids are also being conducted at the possible locations of the robbers.
