In an appalling incident, a 37-year-old man in Tamil Nadu’s Tirupur district committed suicide along with her 70-year-old father and sister. Even awful was that the man, a day before committing mass suicide with his family members, had gone to visit his youngest sister staying at Iduvai.

He had given house documents and Rs 30,000 cash to her younger sister and said that she may need the money during an emergency. Little she knew that the money his brother was giving her was meant for the funeral expenses she might need after their suicide.

After bidding final goodbye to his sister, Gopalakrishnan returned home at Mangalam and committed suicide by hanging himself. Later, his father Durairaj and elder sister Selvi too ended their lives by consuming poison.
