The first day of CBSE core subjects exam is over. Like every year, the examination started with English.
The question paper has three sections- Reading, Advanced Writing Skills, and Literature.
The reading section had two passages. The first passage was followed by 5 MCQs, 9 short answer type questions, and 3 short answer type questions. The second passage had 2 long questions related to it.
Advanced Writing Skills section had four questions. Each question had an option to choose from. The last section had six questions. One question was from one of the poems prescribed in the syllabus.
There were six short answer type questions out of which students had to attempt only four.
The section is rounded off with four long answer type questions. In case of long answer type questions, students had options to choose from.
Examinees opined that the paper was a bit lengthy. There were no surprises or out of the syllabus questions. Questions based on Novels baffled some students. Overall the difficulty level of the paper was moderate to easy and students are expecting a score between 70 to 80.
Next major paper in CBSE Class 12 annual examination is Physics, which has been scheduled for March 5, Tuesday.
