Central Board of Secondary Education will hold practical examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 examinees from January 1, 2020, to February 7, 2020.

All the students will have to attend the practical exam or project assessment, ensuring 100 percent attendance that will be conducted in two types of schools- winter bound and summer bound.

The examination will be conducted in batches and each batch will consist of 20-25 candidates. As per CBSE notofication, practical exams of at least 2 batches should be conducted each day.

Private candidates need not appear for the examination. . The practical marks of private candidates who had appeared as a regular candidate in Class 10 Board exam in 2019 would be taken for Board exam 2020. For Class 12, candidates from 2018 or earlier, practical marks will be given on a pro-rata basis i.e. based on the marks secured in the theory examination. 

For regular candidates, the examination will be conducted in batches and each batch will consist of 20-25 candidates. As per notice practical exams of at least 2 batches should be conducted each day.

Schools will have to upload the group photograph of each batch along with other information on the Board's website through the login id of the school concerned. The group photo should consist of all the candidates of that batch, external examiner, internal examiner, and observer.
