The Punjab Board has revised the passing criteria for students appearing for Punjab Board Exam 2020, as per media reports. The board has decided to change the formula required to clear the Punjab Board Exam 2020 for Class 10, 8 and 5 students. The reports further added the news about changes in the Punjab Board Exam Passing Criteria was confirmed by PSEB secretary Mohammad Tayyab.

The news also claims that the new passing criteria will be applicable for students starting from the on-going academic session that ends in March this year.

The new passing criteria requires students to score a total of minimum 33 per cent marks in a particular subject including written, practical examination and in the continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) system.

Providing more details about the revised passing criteria, the Punjab Board Secretary also added that apart from 33 per cent marks in total, students will also have to secure a minimum of 20 per cent marks in each of the written and practical examination of the concerned subject.

 While announcing the changes, Punjab Board also announced that the changes have been incorporated in line with the recommendations of the CBSE Board.
