UP Board Class 10 and 12 Exam 2020: Fees witness six-fold hike!

New Delhi:

Uttar Pradesh Secondary Board Examination candidates will now have to pay six times the fees examinees have paid earlier for high school and intermediate examination to be held in 2020 and onwards.

According to a report by Times of India, the exam fee that was Rs 80 until last year will soon be rs 500 for high school examinations. Candidates appearing for intermediate examinations will have to pay rs 600 as opposed to Rs 90 that was the fees till last year.

Private students taking high school and intermediate exams from Uttar Pradesh Board, however, faced a lesser hike in fees. They will be charges Rs 700 instead of Rs 200 and Rs 800 instead of Rs 220 for Class 10 and Class 12 examinations respectively.

The last date to submit fees for appearing in the examination to be held in 2020 is August 15. The application fee for the re-evaluation of papers that were held in February was hiked by five times.

According to the board officials, the step has been taken be in par with CBSE and CISCE boards. CBSE charges Rs 1750 as exam fee for five subjects while for CISCE  board, candidates pay Rs 1500 for ICSE, ISC exams.

Meanwhile, the UP Board class 10 (High School) examination will start from 18 February and will conclude on March 3, whereas class 12 (Inter) examination will commence from February 18 and end on March 6.  The UP Board class 10 examination will be conducted in 12 working days whereas the class 12 examination will be conducted in 15 working days.
