The Uttar Pradesh Board Examinations for class X and XII are all set to begin from February 7. While the class 10 examinations would begin from February 7 and end in 14 working days on February 28, the class 12 intermediate examinations would also begin on 7 February and end on March 2.

Moreover, to prevent cheating Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the state board to take stringent measures. “If anybody is found cheating, the DM, DIOS, principal and the examination superintendent concerned would be held responsible. CrPC section 144 is to be invoked in the 100-metre area of all the centres. In all the sensitive districts, the DIOS would construct a patrolling team for the inspection of the centres,” UP CM said.

Also, this year, the examinations would see voice recorders along with CCTVs in most examination halls. “All the district inspector of schools have informed that CCTVs and voice recorders have been installed in examination halls and about 1314 centers have been identified as sensitive and another 448 labelled highly sensitive,” Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma had said earlier. The answer copies would be bar coded, Sharma had added.

The Aadhaar number of all candidates have been uploaded on the UP Board’s website along with other details of the students taking the examinations.

Last year, approximately 60,29,252 candidates had appeared for the Class X and Class XII Board Exams. This year it has been reported that there is a considerate fall in the number of enrolling students.
