CAT 2019 result is being announced today by Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, and 10 candidates have scored an overall 100 percentile in the exam. All candidates are male and from Technical and Engineering background. Among the 10 candidates scoring 100 percentile in CAT 2019, 6 candidates are from the IITs, 2 candidates are from the NITs and 1 candidate is from Jadavpur University.
Out of the 10 candidates scoring 100 percentile, 4 candidates are from Maharashtra and the other 6 candidates are from the states of West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Telangana. Other than this, 21 candidates were successful in scoring 99.99 percentile in CAT 2019, and 19 candidates out of the 21 candidates are from engineering and technology background.
Meanwhile, CAT 2019 was held in two shifts on November 24, 2019 wherein a total of 2,09,926 candidates took the test. According to reports, this is highest number of candidates appearing for the CAT in the last 10 years. The number of male and female candidates appeared for the exam were 1,34,917 and 75,004 respectively. Other than this, 5 transgender candidates appeared for the CAT 2019. IIMs will now release the cut off based on the CAT 2019 score.
Candidates meeting the shortlisting criteria of respective IIMs will be called for interview round. Candidates need to check their percentile score and apply accordingly for the Management colleges that accept CAT scores. For more details, visit the official website, iimcat.ac.in.
