New Delhi:

The registration process for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2020 will begin from next week. The online registration process of GATE 2020 will be started by IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Delhi. Candidates who are interested to apply for the GATE 2020 exam, can visit the official website, i.e. gate.iitd.ac.in.

The GATE 2020 registration will begin from September 3, and the last date to apply for the GATE 2020 exam is September 24, 2019. In addition, candidates will be able to change the exam centre with an additional fee latest by November 15, 2019.

According to media reports, IIT Delhi will conduct the GATE 2020 exam on February 1, 2, 8 and 9. The GATE 2020 exam is going to be conducted in two shifts, i.e. 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. In order to apply for the GATE 2020 exam, candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps:

  • First, candidates need to visit the official website, i.e. gate.iitd.ac.in
  • Click on GATE 2020 section on the home page
  • Enter the registered email ID and mobile number for registration on the new page
  • Then, Log in with the enrolment ID and password
  • Enter all the required details and pay the application fee
  • Click to submit

The exam will be conducted on 24 subjects including Aerospace, engineering, architecture and planning, chemical engineering, biotechnology, etc.

The GATE 2020 exam will be conducted on 24 subjects that will include engineering, aerospace, architecture & planning, chemical engineering, biotechnology, etc. The exam will comprise objective type questions and will conducted in online (computer-based) mode.

Candidates must note that for every wrong answer, there will be negative marking of 1/3 mark. However, there will be no negative marking for a wrong answer in NAT questions.

GATE is an all India Engineering exam that is conducted for admission to postgraduate programmes in Indian Institutes of higher education.
