The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) started its acacdemic session on July 29. However, the institute is now holding admission for prospective candidates for the vacant SC/ST seats at its various branches for its PG Diploma programmes.
According to officials, 32 seats reserved for SC/ST candidates are available for offline admission in Post Graduate Diploma Courses in Journalism and Mass Communication across its six campuses.
"Seats are available in IIMC Delhi for Hindi and Urdu Journalism (7) IIMC Dhenkanal in English and Odia Journalism (10), IIMC Amravati in English and Marathi Journalism (4 seats), IIMC Kottayam in English and Malayalam Journalism (6), IIMC Aizawl (2 seats) and IIMC Jammu (3) in English Journalism courses," an official statement said.
"Eligible candidates should appear for Written Test and Interview at 10 am on August 26 in respective campuses of IIMC by registering their names on the spot," it added.
Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has declared the results of entrance examination for admission to Post Graduate diploma courses for academic year 2019-20 in the secound week of July.
A total of 1,365 candidates out of 5,839 applicants were declared successful in the written test, the IIMC said.
The final results that were announced after conducting the interviews in the first week of July was for a total of 476 seats across eight PG Diploma courses for the students who are interested in mass communication namely Advertising & Public Relation, Radio & TV Journalism, Hindi Journalism, English Journalism, Odia Journalism, Urdu Journalism, Marathi Journalism, Malayalam Journalism.
